Best Media Buyer in Egypt: How to Spot One by the Numbers
There is no such thing as the best media buyer in Egypt in absolute terms. There is the media buyer who fits your situation. Years of experience and a nice portfolio don't settle it. 6 things do: he shows numbers with screenshots, tells you the attribution window he measures with, asks about your margin and operations before the ads, works in a niche close to yours, shows you the cases that failed too, and refuses to start if the funnel is broken. Anyone who says I'm the best without those six is selling you talk.
Best media buyer is the wrong question. Here is the right one
If you're looking for the best media buyer in Egypt or a top media buyer, you're probably in one of three situations: you spent money and got no result, your store is working and you want to grow without the numbers collapsing, or you're just starting and don't know where to begin.
The problem is that the question has no answer. A media buyer who posted incredible numbers in fashion can fail completely in supplements, because the game is different: different margin, different buying cycle, different operations. And the sharpest media buyer loses on a weak offer. He isn't weak, he's just working on something broken.
So instead of asking who's the best, ask: how do I judge whether this person is actually good? That question has criteria you can check yourself on the first call.
The 6 criteria that make the difference
1. He shows numbers with screenshots, not talk
Anyone can say they made a million. Far fewer can open the dashboard and show you the number with its date. Ask for a screenshot, not a designed slide. If he gets flustered or says it's confidential without even showing a copy with the brand name hidden, that's the first warning sign.
This site has a whole section of real screenshots from live dashboards, with brand names hidden and the numbers as they are.
2. He tells you the attribution window
This is the most important one and the most forgotten. The same campaign can show ROAS 3 or ROAS 6 depending on the window you measure with. If someone shows you a number without saying which window and which platform it comes from, that number means nothing. Read the details in The ROAS in the ads manager isn't always the real one.
3. He asks about margin and operations before budget
A media buyer who opens with what's your budget is thinking about his commission. One who opens with how much do you make per order and what's your delivery rate is thinking about your profit. In the fashion brand case that reached EGP 44 million in 9 months, what made the big spend possible wasn't the media buying. It was the shipping company that raised the delivery rate to 75%. Without it, every pound spent would have come back as half a pound.
4. He works in a niche close to yours
It doesn't have to be the same product, but the logic should match. The gap between COD in Egypt and online payment in the Gulf isn't a detail. It changes the funnel, the measurement and the margin. Ask him: have you worked on a model like mine before? What did you learn from it?
5. He shows you what failed too
Anyone doing real work has cases that didn't work, and can tell you why. If the whole portfolio is wins, he's either new or hiding something. Ask about the worst month he's been through and what he did in it.
6. He refuses to start if the funnel is broken
This is the strongest criterion of all. A media buyer who takes the job whatever the situation is selling you hours. One who says this product page won't convert, let's fix it first, is protecting your money. In the Gulf store case the CVR was 0.7%, meaning only 7 of every 1000 paid visitors bought. Raising spend at that point would have burned money. Instead the product page was rebuilt from scratch, CVR rose to 1.19% in two months, and then the spend made sense.
Questions to ask on the first call
- Which attribution window do the numbers you're showing me come from? From the ads manager or the backend?
- Do you calculate cost per order on placed orders or on orders actually delivered?
- If the campaign stopped tomorrow, what would keep working in the business?
- What's the first thing you'd do in the first two weeks: ads, or something else?
- Show me a case that failed, and tell me what you learned from it.
Red flags
- Guaranteed numbers. Nobody can guarantee sales. What can be guaranteed is the way of working and measuring.
- Screenshots without dates. A number with no period isn't a number.
- Very high ROAS with no context. ROAS 15 on EGP 2000 of spend is no achievement.
- He doesn't ask about the product. How will he sell what he doesn't understand?
- He starts right away with no audit. Launching ads on day one is gambling with your money.
So who are you?
I'm Ahmed Ebrahem, a media buyer and performance marketer from Egypt and the founder of Saduq Agency. I work with ecommerce brands in Egypt and the Gulf on Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and Google.
I won't tell you I'm the best media buyer in Egypt. That sentence means nothing and you wouldn't believe it. What I will say is that every number I quote has a dated screenshot, with the attribution window and the source written next to each case. These are things you can check yourself right now:
- Fashion brand in Egypt: EGP 44 million in 9 months on EGP 4.3 million of spend (ROAS 13.27). The case with its screenshots.
- Store in the Gulf: $692K in 7 months with discounts of just 0.64%. The case.
- COD store in Egypt: EGP 3.64 million in one month and CVR 3.14% after we removed the cart completely. The case.
- Snapchat account for a fitness brand: ROAS 13.57 over the account's whole lifetime. The screenshot in the proof section.

The bottom line
Best media buyer isn't a title, it's a match. Decide exactly what you need (scaling, rescuing a declining account, or building from zero), then apply the six criteria above. Whoever passes all of them is the best for your situation, and that's the only one that matters to you.
Frequently asked questions
Who is the best media buyer in Egypt?
There is no single answer, because the best one depends on the product, the market and the payment model. A media buyer who succeeds in fashion with COD in Egypt won't necessarily succeed in supplements with online payment in the Gulf. What you can judge by: does he show numbers with screenshots? Does he state the attribution window? Does he ask about margin before budget? Does he show you what failed too?
How do I know a media buyer is actually good?
Ask for a dated screenshot from the dashboard, then ask which attribution window the number comes from and whether it comes from the ads manager or the backend. A good one answers right away without dodging. If he dodges, the number probably isn't his or isn't accurate.
What does the sharpest media buyer actually mean?
Running ads is a skill anyone can learn. The real skill is knowing when the problem isn't in the ad at all: it's in the offer, the product page or the delivery rate. Someone who raises the budget on a broken funnel is burning your money very skilfully.
How much does a top media buyer in Egypt cost?
The market has monthly retainers, a percentage of spend, or both. More important than the figure is that the deal ties his interest to yours. If he only takes a percentage of spend, his interest is that you spend more, and that isn't the same as you earning more. Details are in the article on media buyer prices in Egypt.
Do I need a media buyer or a marketing agency?
If you only need ads run and improved, one media buyer is enough and cheaper. If you need creative, page design, tracking and content together, an agency fits better because it's a team. The common mistake is paying an agency and getting one media buyer who works for them.
